Our Ministries

Mahima Niwas

At Mahima Niwas (House of Glory) we are bringing up girls from tribes that have had no education and are from the most backward areas of India and Nepal. We presently have 27 girls in our Mahima Niwas family and there are 9 orphan girls from the very remote hills which become snow-bound, waiting to become part of our family. The need is desperate and urgent. Please pray.

Assembly of God Church School

The Assembly of God Church School was founded in 1988 when the needs of a remote village on the border of India and Nepal struck Jenny and Roy’s hearts. Here children from all religions, castes and class, come together to avail of a good education and hear the good news of the gospel for the first time. The children of the rich and the poor and downtrodden now sit together and study in harmony experiencing God’s love for the first time. Also for the first time the dalit (outcaste) can avail a quality education and be able to hold his/her head high and secure an employment. Here barriers are being broken, that have gripped this area all along. Education has broken the fetters that had long since bound the people and children of Rupaidiha and its surrounding villages even touching Nepal.

Seema

As gender bias spreads its vicious tentacles predominantly into rural areas like ours, protecting and rescuing the girl child is the need of the hour. At Seema which is a refuge for girls and women we strive to empower the abused and illiterate woman.

Rupaidiha Community Education Centre

During a visit to the village women, one of the village families pleaded with us to educate their children. Rather than sending them to the government free schools which merely run on paper they were desperate to learn some English. The family further went on to offer land to us. This saw the birth of the Rupaidiha Community Education Centre on a piece of land 50×20 feet donated to us by Hindu illiterate family to educate children of the village. At present we have 120 students coming to the centre for 2 hours everyday to get free English education. What an amazing way to bond with the people of the villages!
